Welcome to the SEO Grok, a newsletter about all things search engine optimization explained in simple, accessible terms.

My personal goal for this newsletter is to provide readers with an easy-to-digest resource for learning about SEO and all that it entails.

My podcast, SEO 101 on WMR.FM, is the oldest and longest-running SEO podcast in the world; since 2006. The SEO 101 Podcast is successful because it is approachable. I want to expand upon that in this newsletter, and I hope you will join me and find value in it.

There will occasionally be more advanced articles, but I will always strive to make them accessible to all, even if I’m still learning to do so (AI will help me with that).

After all, I’m an SEO geek, through and through, so avoiding bafflegab doesn’t come naturally; I am continuously learning how to make my thoughts (rife with acronyms and jargon) understandable to my clients, staff, friends, and family.

More About Me

My name is Ross Dunn, and I have been practicing SEO since 1997, when I started what is now called StepForth Web Marketing Inc. Also, in 2016, I co-founded First Dentist Marketing Inc., a dental-focused digital marketing company.

Despite many highs and lows over so many years in this business, I am still in love with the art of online marketing and SEO. It is utterly fascinating to me, and the ever-changing nature of digital marketing is a perfect fit for my restless, insatiable mind.
